We are seeking a highly motivated Operations Manager to work as senior leader of the hotel’s operational backbone, overseeing the Front Office, Housekeeping, Maintenance, Food & Beverage, Spa, and Guest Services, among other areas. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, this role merges day-to-day hospitality excellence with long-term strategic planning, technology integration, and process improvement. The Operations Manager acts as a bridge between the Operations Team and the Managing Director, ensuring the hotel operates as a cohesive, high-performance unit.
Responsibilities
· Minimum 5 years in hotel operations management with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role overseeing multiple departments.
· Knowledge of Hotel Management Systems (PMS/POS), IT infrastructure, and data analysis tools.
· Proven ability in budgeting, employee cost optimisation, and interpreting commercial indicators (ADR, RevPAR).
· Deep understanding of Maltese hospitality regulations, GDPR, and modern ESG/sustainability practices.
· Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to lead diverse teams under pressure and mentor HODs toward high performance.

· Serve as a trusted advisor to the Managing Director, providing clear analysis and recommendations that support the hotel’s mission.
· Maintain a strong, accessible presence across the property for both staff and guests.
· Lead with fairness and consistency, ensuring that operational standards, safety, and compliance remain non-negotiable.
· Set standards of accountability and collaboration across all operational departments.
· Take ownership for ensuring the hotel operates smoothly, while also driving long-term improvements in efficiency, quality, and guest experience.
· Balance operational discipline with service innovation, ensuring that improvements lead to both stronger business outcomes and improved guest satisfaction.
