We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Reservations Agent. As a Reservations Agent, you will play a crucial role in ensuring guest satisfaction by handling reservation inquiries, processing bookings, and providing accurate information about our hotel’s services and availability. Your exceptional communication skills and ability to manage multiple reservations will contribute to a seamless booking experience for our guests.

Responsibilities

  • Respond promptly and courteously to reservation inquiries via phone, email, or online channels (Booking.com, Expedia…)
  • Assist guests in making reservations, ensuring accuracy and adherence to hotel policies.
  • Provide information about hotel amenities, rates, and special packages to potential guests.
  • Utilize the hotel’s reservation system (Opera) to process bookings, check availability, and update guest information.
  • Manage and update reservation records, ensuring accuracy and completeness of guest details.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure efficient handling of special requests, room assignments, and group reservations.
  • Assist with the management of room inventory to maximize occupancy and revenue.
  • Process reservation changes, cancellations, and refunds in accordance with hotel policies.
  • Provide guests with confirmation details, including reservation codes, arrival/departure information, and any additional instructions or requirements.
  • Maintain knowledge of local events, attractions, and promotions to offer personalized recommendations to guests.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in hospitality or tourism is a plus.
  • Previous experience in reservations or a customer service role is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
  • Proficiency in using reservation software (Opera) and other computer systems.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
